Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres came from the world of stand up comedians and has worked her way to her own show The Ellen DeGeneres Show (which starts everytime with a heartwarming dance with our favourite host in her trademark running shoes). While staring in several sitcoms and movies as well as hosting a large number of events such as Academy Awards and Primetime Emmys, Ellen also starred as the voice for Dory in the movie Finding Nemo. This role won her the first ever Saturn Award in Best Supporting Actress ever given to a voice actor. In 1994 she starred in her own show titled Ellen and in 2001 in The Ellen Show.

Ellen is not your average stand up comedian. She is able to take that comedic behavior and work it into any conversation she has in the eye of the public. She can come up with comedy at a moment’s notice and has a modern with about her that just keeps going. She is refreshingly light and her humor keeps you laughing and in a positive place at once. In 1997 Ellen had the courage to announce to the public that she is a lesbian. While this shocked many she was not afraid to go the extra mile and address in her television series some of the major issues facing those who are in similar situations. She met the challenge head on and with a terrific light hearted and honest approach.

Ellen is one comes across as one of the most genuine, honest and charitable persons in the media today. She often puts herself out there on camera offering help to those in need and getting involved on a level many personalities just never do. She is clear about her beliefs and tells it like it is while keeping her audience light at heart. Her ability to bring calm and happiness to a room with ease and down to earth comfort is like that of only a handful of others in her field over the years.
